CHALLENGE
Develop a teaching tool for their construction courses that could be delivered both virtually (VR) and via augmented reality (AR).
East Tennessee PBS needed an expert curriculum development partner to create lessons for PBS Learning Media with a goal of increasing student participation in their lessons. Specifically, they wanted a partner that could become certified to publish curriculum on PBS, meeting a high standard of pedagogical rigor. Without internal resources to dedicate to this project, they sought a partner that could create an engaging curriculum to drive career readiness for students.
SOLUTION
East Tennessee PBS partnered with Kapeer to create an original curriculum for their learning media platform.
Kapeer not only met the credential qualifications, they consistently delivered engaging lessons that resonated with teachers and students.
RESULTS
As a result of working with Kapeer–
East Tennessee PBS has steadily increased student engagement on their learning platform. Teachers have responded positively to the ready-made curriculum, and reported that the lessons are instrumental in bridging the career readiness gap with their students. Students also enjoy the lessons, and the curriculum created by Kapeer is being leveraged in schools, home schools, and across other informal learning channels.
